Week 5 - Samoan Language week activities

This week we celebrate Gagana Samoa
We were involved in a number of activities that allow us to learn the Samoan language.
We started the week with a flag raising ceremony
The students who lead the ceremony spoke very well.
We were so proud of their efforts.
Other daily activities involved learning the days of the week, months of the year, and introducing ourselves.

We also got to learn about the Tatau, tattoo.
The pe'ea and Taulima
What they mean and represent in the Samoan culture.
We learned about what the symbols mean.
Then we got to design our own Taulima.
