Term 4 Week 2 - LIVING LIFE WITH LESS RUBBISH, and TOKELAU FACTS SLIDES

Our INQUIRY this term is LIVING LIFE WITH LESS RUBBISH
This week during our discussions, one thing we don't have at our school are posters telling students to put their rubbish in the bin.
From this, we decided to use the skills we have learned so far in using GOOGLE SLIDES to create posters we could put up around our classroom or school.
Here are some of our efforts.

This week is TOKELAU language week
Because a lot of us don't know where Tokelau is we created information SLIDES that we can share to tell us more about Tokelau

Welcome to Term 4
This term started with a bang, celebrating Niue language week and DIWALI
We learned Niue days of the week, months of the year,  some Niue phrases and songs.
The two lucky students who did well during the week got to make takihi with the teachers.
Takihi is a Niue delicacy which has taro, pawpaw and coconut cream.
We also learned about DIWALI and made Rangoli art

We were treated to an amazing Niue performance from the very talented students from Alfriston College.

TENNIS LESSON
We have been really lucky this term to have outside coaching workshops with an expert tennis coach.
This week we learned how to work on our forehand swing and backhand swing. We also learned about the rules as we went. Some of us have never played tennis ever.
